DVD of the WEEK!
Starring: Nicolas Cage, Billy Burke, Amber Heard In the interests of paying off his reportedly massive IRS bill, these days, the camel-faced Nicolas Cage is becoming as well-known for his B-grade film choices as he is for bad hair.
But this full-tilt action-horror makes up for it in gobsmacking goresomeness and stoopidly sick stuntery. Pursued by Lucifer’s gnarly bounty hunters, a dead crook does a Houdini out of Hell in a suped-up muscle car in order to track down an evil Satanist who wants to sacrifice his infant grandkid. Hooking up with a hot blonde, our hero leaves a trail of dead demons, pile-ups and the odd speeding fine in his wake.
