So to celebrate Australia Day, ZOO's come up with a list of things that make us totally Aussie.
You know you're Aussie when...
You agree that the English language is open to interpretation and most words could/should be abbreviated.
You’ve drunk a coffee through a Tim Tam.
You agree that meat pies should come with the sauce included and refuse to pay the 30 cents extra.
You can Slip, Slop, Slap in public and not be arrested.
Everyone can be greeted with the term 'mate', even if they're not.
Rehydration means grabbing another beer from the esky.
Missing a mate's Australia Day BBQ is a jailable offence.
You say "no worries" after most things, even if you are quite worried.
You recognise that the blue singlet is not a piece of clothing, but a right of passage.
When you hear the word thongs you don’t think of underwear.
The only cocktail worth drinking is a beer with an umbrella in it.
You can’t cook to save your life but as soon as a BBQ is fired up you turn into the world's greatest 'tong master'.
You appreciate that six is out, but stick to the fact that you can not get out first ball, and house rules apply.
You whinge about 'whinging Poms' and fail to see the irony in that.
You believe that a dog is man's best friend, and the words: cute, fluffy, mini, small, will never be used to describe yours.
