Yetis do exist and live in the Siberian mountains according to new "indisputable proof" found by Russian researchers in the country’s coal-mining region of Kemerovo.
The Kemerovo region, which has a population of about half a million people (as well as a few Yetis), posted in a statement on its website that footprints of the hairy beast and possibly even its hair were found on a research trip to the remote mountains.
"During the expedition to the Azasskaya cave, conference participants gathered indisputable proof that the Shoria mountains are inhabited by the 'Snow Man'," the Kemerovo region administration has claimed.
"They found his footprints, his supposed bed, and various markers with which the yeti marks his territory," the statement said. The collected "artifacts" will be analysed in a special laboratory, it said.
Kemerovo's government organised the expedition after inviting researchers from the United States, Canada, and several other countries to a conference to trade stories and information on the illusive ape-like creature.
